I joined the Shropshire and Marches Circuit in 2019, and came from the York Circuit.
In these changing times I feel that being part of a team is vitally important and so have not been disappointed to be called into a circuit where this is possible in its truest sense. I am delighted to be sharing with Deacon Carys and Pastor Jacob as we learn together and work together, but can also enable each other to grow and to flourish as individuals, and I hope that we will model that to our churches too.
Before I candidated for ministerial training in 2010 I had worked for 35 years largely in legal firms but had also occupations in sales and marketing and accounting, amongst others. I am grateful for a wide experience of life and work during that time.
In my studies for Local Preaching that began in 1998 I found great fulfilment and also a change in me, and once I had begun the journey, knew that preaching alone was never going to be enough, so fairly late in life, at the age of 51, I entered Ministerial Training at Queens.
I have a 28 year old daughter and I live with my husband Andy, who has 2 sons, and is a retired primary school teacher and active Local Preacher. We share the Manse with our cat, Solomon, a huge Birman, rabbits Oscar and Barney and a giant snail...un-named! My own therapies are gardening and cooking, and together we love getting away in our camper van to the most isolated places we can, and to find beautiful spots for wild swimming which is both spiritual and affirming, as it is in creation we find we are most fully alive.
