I was born in Wolverhampton and attended Stratton Street Methodist Church up to the age of 19 when I joined the Women's Royal Naval Service.
During this time I met my husband, Maurice, and we have been married for thirty eight years.
Following service in the WRNS, I served for twenty years in the Library services of Hampshire and Portsmouth City.
After a call to preach and to ministry, we served sixteen years in the Gloucestershire Circuit where our Border Collie, Alfred, was born.
We have one married daughter and one adorable grandson.
