Chiefly Yourselves, a concert featuring members of the congregation, friends and participants from neighbouring chapels, was performed at Ludlow Methodist Chapel last week.
The concert was very ably compered by Circuit Property Steward, Adrian Williams. Musical items were accompanied on the piano by Sylvia Treacy who, along with John Eadie performed some instrumental items. The first half rounded off with community singing.
There were songs from our minister, Revd. Denise Hargreaves, Pip Hollins and Cally, John Eadie, Roger Clayton, Margret Turner and Vernon and Linda Webb. Recitations, jokes, poems and monologues were performed by Janet Williams, Maureen Farmery, Sue Wilkinson, John Mountford, Brian Dawson, Joyce and David Evans and Stephen Dalton.
The audio-visual desk was controlled by David and Joyce and interval refreshments were hosted by Annie Jones and Edith Blair.
The audience were allowed home after making a contribution but had had refreshments and admission for free! A total of over £320 was raised for the Fun In Fundraising fund.
Many thanks to all who helped put the performance together.
Contributed by Stephen Dalton.
