For many of us, Advent Sunday marks the exciting run up to our Christmas celebrations. We start the lighting of our four Advent Candles, symbolising Hope, Love, Joy and Peace, one for each week up to Christmas. This year's Methodist Advent resources have the theme of Gifted, reminding us of the gift of our Lord Jesus and that we are all gifted. In lighting the Candle of Hope, we hope that Advent be for each of us a time of giving and receiving.

A range of Services and meeting styles are available across the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit this Advent. For example, our Church in Welshampton has for several years now, fostered community involvement by offering a free Coffee & Craft morning in the Parish Hall. This annual celebration of Advent has become popular with local folk, young and old.
