Snailbeach chapel is located in Snailbeach just past the Village Hall. Pastoral oversight of this chapel is with Revd Richard Hall, minister for the Rea Valley area.

Limited parking is available in a small car park just past the chapel towards Stiperstones. This building has several steps and a hand rail as well as a ramp and rail, with moderate access for those with mobility issues.

Snailbeach is a chapel rich with history and has several Methodist related items on display, including a preaching plan that is well over 80 years old. Snailbeach chapel is the only chapel part of the Rea Valley Methodists with a church yard, which is well cared for and visited frequently by historians, families of loved ones who rest there and people from the community.

The land for the chapel was leased and then purchased from the Marquis of Bath in the 19th Century but Methodists had been present there long before the chapel was built in 1876.

Worship services usually occur mid afternoon in the School Room adjacent to the Chapel itself. There are sometimes morning services as well so be sure to check this page for service times. Snailbeach often has coffee hours where the community gathers to support the church and local charities.

If walking by our chapel, be sure to stop and see the natural quartz crystals geodes embedded in the stone wall. They are a wonder to see and come from the area.
