Our Minister

About Us

Belle Vue Methodist Church is a Silver Awarded Eco Church, LGBTQ+ welcoming/inclusive community of faith. Our Sunday worship ranges from the traditional to sometimes incorporating arts into our time together. We are an easily accessible church for those with varying abilities and strive to ensure that those who are neurodivegent or have adaptive needs can easily feel at home with us. Our building is equipped with a lift for easy access to the Hermitage Centre.

We are concerned with social justice issues, care of creation, economic witness and many of our congregation volunteer with organisations in Shrewsbury and beyond.

Sister Churches

Sometimes we gather with our sister churches but in the event we are elsewhere someone will be available to offer you a cuppa and we offer self directed spiritual activities. To find out when that happens, go to the main page, select the date you wish to join us and then click on BELLE VUE and it will let you know where we will be worshipping.

Online Chapel

Can't make it in person? Join us for worship any time at onlinechapel.uk and simply press the play button and go to the next part and click on the blue arrow in the bottom right corner. You can also join in on Sunday as 10.30 on Zoom by internet or phone for the same worship but with fellowship afterwards. Email us for more information on Zoom servcies.

Celtic Church

Occasionally we have Celtic Worship through Gather Ceteria and we are host to fellowship groups as well as Bible study. You can find Gather Ceteria on Facebook or for all our churches here

My journey in recognised ministry began in 2000, working in Canada to the rugged spirituality of Iona. It was there that Methodism found me and eventually landed me in Shropshire in 2017. where, unbeknownst to me, my ancestors had come from.

I believe our spiritual journey is a lifelong apprenticeship to Jesus. Whether our communities are anchored in tradition or restlessly curious, I strive offer a space where science and theology, equality and care for creation meet justice, love and mercy-in the ordinary and the extraordinary can help transform ourselves, communities and the world.

My own path in the Christian tradition has been both in institutional church and my own family's Celtic Christian tradition from the Hebrides. It is my deepest privilege and vocation to walk alongside people through life's joys and sorrows, journeying together as we explore what it means to be spiritual beings.
