Born and brought up in Worcestershire, I attended the village chapel since "before I was born". I taught Home Economics and Child Development in East London. I trained for Ministry at Queens College, Birmingham and was ordained in 2010. My first five-year appointment was in West Bromwich, moving to Aberystwyth where I was privileged to work as an MHA Chaplain in a large Dementia Care Home. In 2019 I found myself in the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit as minister of Builth Wells, Knighton and Llanbister chapels and love it.
Being a Methodist Deacon means being part of a dispersed religious order following a Rule of Life. Quiet days and retreats are important to me as well as being with people.
The focus of my ministry is God's love for all people, listening to stories, encouraging, equipping, and enabling people in life and faith journeys.
I prefer being outdoors, seeing God in nature and caring for the environment, eating locally produced food, singing and researching local and family history. Roger and I married over thirty-something years ago. We raised our three sons in Canada and have a granddaughter. I love spending time with them all.
