About Moreton Mill Methodist Chapel

Moreton Mill Methodist Chapel is part of the Central Area of the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit. For information about service times, view the preaching plans on the Service Times page. Information about ministers can be found on the Central Area Ministers page.

Moreton Mill has strong Methodist foundations. An enthusiastic group of believers built their place of worship on the only land they could obtain, so that, although outside the village of Shawbury, it is where Methodists worship.

The makeup of the congregation has altered. No longer just farmers, agricultural workers and their families, it has a varied congregation including those in business, education and some that are not so young but more recently we have children with us for some services.

We are a very caring Church family, having a prayer diary that each week brings to the front of our minds, a family who will get special mention in our prayers. This helps toward the warm feeling of fellowship that we at Moreton Mill seek to promote. Being on the upper edge of the Central Area, we do appreciate preachers who travel miles to lead our worship. Our services are not always traditional. We have computer presentations, and other varied services that are valued by all.

We are all grateful to our officers, and organist who willingly serve us all and enhance our worship.

At Moreton Mill, we are richly blessed.
