About Kinnerton Methodist Chapel
Kinnerton Methodist Chapel is part of the Central Area of the Shropshire and Marches Methodist Circuit. For information about service times, view the preaching plans on the Service Times page. Information about ministers can be found on the Central Area Ministers page.
Kinnerton Chapel is in a very rural area with a scattered community. It was built in 1930 after a fire burnt out the former wooden building. Some members have been attending since childhood. We have fortnightly services at 2.30pm, there is no electricity but we use gas heaters.
We have a Lambing Service in April involving children from Ratlinghope Church who bring their lambs and play musical items and poetry. In July we have a lunch followed by Songs of Praise in the local village attended by local village memebers and members of other chapels. In the autumn we have our Harvest Fastival which is very well attended and at Christmas we have a Carol Service when a local family play the carols on their musical instruments.
