Revd Jon Chesworth

I’ve been a minister for 21 years and before that I worked in the Pottery industry in Stoke.
Although I went to Sunday school as a young child, I spent many years away from the church only returning when my life needed a meaning and purpose beyond tinkering with old motorbikes! I enjoy the countryside and after my first ministry in the Hanley circuit, I’ve gravitated to rural churches and lived in Shrewsbury, Minsterley and now Leominster.

I’m married to Rev Frances Biseker and I’ve got two grown up sons and a dog and too many motorbikes.

Revd Frances Biseker

I’m married to Jon Chesworth. We live in Leominster where Jon’s ministry is based, and I commute up to Ludlow most days. I was ordained in 1990, and have served the Connexion mainly in the north and midlands. When I moved to Shrewsbury in 2005 I hadn’t bargained on marrying the neighbouring Superintendent! I’m now step mum to two virtually grown up young men.

My focus of ministry over the years has often been about how we make the church a loving and welcoming place, and I really enjoying doing those things that help us grow more deeply into the love of God. My hobbies and interests are mainly crafty – spinning, knitting etc, and when I’ve time I play the flute.

I’m married to Derek and we have 5 adult children. I work in the Southern Area of the Circuit with pastoral care of 7 churches. My husband Derek is the pastoral worker in Builth Wells.

One of my passions in ministry is to enable people to have prayer lives that feed their faith. I am also passionate about and interested in revivals. In 2009 Derek and I visited one of our daughters in South Korea where we witnessed firsthand churches in revival. This has been a great encouragement and we continue to be involved in prayer events and initiatives.

Revd Helen Roberts

I am a Welsh girl currently settled the wrong side of the border! I am in my mid-30s and just starting out as a minister – it has been a ten year journey with times when life was tough and I thought I would not reach this point.

Being a minister is a precious gift that allows me to be there with people in highs and lows, to go from school assembly to the seniors lunch.

I am a creative person and enjoy crafty hobbies and will have a go at most things once – but you won’t find me gardening!
